I played the demo for Super Mombo Quest during one of the Steam festivals on a whim.
That aside, the gameplay is super fun.
Music - Unfortunately the game's OST feels very "candy cane" there are some interesting tracks, but, for the most part, the OST is not one that I would go and buy separately to listen to for hours.
Interesting mechanics, cool Megaman style boss powers, and really cool and colorful graphics.
Minor gripes notwithstanding, for me this was a real "feel like a kid again" kind of experience, and the sort of game I like to think I might have made if I ever had the talent and expertise to do so; thankfully, others have picked up the slack for me, and I heartily thank them for the handful of hours I spent with their game, and being reminded of why I ever picked up a controller in the first place.
Hitboxes - I already mentioned this one, but yeah, sometimes the hitboxes are very ambiguous.
