What players think
The recurring themes across 288 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Really great controls, unique enemy designs, Amazing Akira Toriyama like artstyle, solid level designs, and the most addictive music ever. the fact i dont have the ost yet the time i write this review is a hate crime lol.
All of the sprite art is really well drawn and animated, characters have amazing expressions, the constantly changing level palettes are really neat, and the larger character drawings are top-notch.
The great visuals and goofy cut scenes are really the only things you can enjoy here.
There are also typically a minigame on each floor that changes up the gameplay, and all of these are fun and quirky distractions.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
