Ex-Zodiac

This is a fantastic homage/inspired spiritual sequel/ode to Star Fox (SNES), Star Fox 64 (N64), Space Harrier (Arcade/Sega 32X), with a splash of the Sega Saturn's graphic style bundled in with the modern conveniences of high framerate gameplay.

This visual direction is paired with an energetic soundtrack that blends retro synthesis with modern production, driving the pace of combat and reinforcing the sense of constant forward momentum.

Graphics are very colourful, and low-poly which basically means they big and chunky triangles and other shapes, again very common with the first 3D shooters on home consoles, not the first 3D though, that was wire-frame, who remembers the 3D star wars game with wire-frame graphics on the arcades and eventually home computers ?

It's exactly what you would expect if you even played the original Star Fox, to the point where I felt that playing the game at 20 fps felt better than 60.

The two free-range stages were actually my favorites, because they gave the combat more room to breathe and made the movement feel more deliberate.

(There are many cases when "primitive" graphics needs a decent graphic card) Graphics are really stylish, minimal and lightweight for video (10-15% GPU load on Steam Deck) .
