What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
-Great story that has plenty of twists and turns along with many good heartfelt moments
-Good map exploration that is very reminiscent of old school JRPG's, well designed towns to explore, puzzles to solve, secrets to find
This game uses an interactive turn-based combat style like the Mario and Luigi games with timed hits and blocks, which I especially like.
-Amazing lighting and effects that really give the game a nice mystic type of feel
The soundtrack easily rivals classics like Suikoden II , the lore is intriguing, the cutscene animations are gorgeous, and the narrative leaves just enough unanswered questions for a potential sequel.
The difficulty is well balanced and can be adjusted whenever you want, without any penalties like losing an achievement for not completing the game on a specific difficulty, which is a really nice point.
