What players think
The recurring themes across 178 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
I was suggested this game by a backer of it, specifically because they enjoyed the "Emotion" of the voice acting and story.
In particular, the voice acting is fantastic (particular shout out to Morgan Berry as our protagonist, Tama, but everyone really delivers here.) The game is not incredibly lengthy.
It also helps that all the magic attacks have great animations and sound design, there is a lot of satisfaction from hitting things in this game, and it's difficulty makes doing well all the more rewarding.
