TL;DR: Dragon Age 2 is a game of extreme friction where brilliant narrative highs clash with rushed technical lows.
The combat is flashy but repetitive, the environments are beautiful but endlessly reused, and the story has ambition but not the structure to support it.
Graphical fidelity was more consistent than DAO with the HD texture DLC, and I only crashed once during my 40 hours of unmodded gameplay, making this much more stable than its predecessor.
A thing I enjoy most in RPGs is the ability to make my own character (Character Creation here is amazing, not the best, but there are plenty of options) and give them a perosnality that can be shown through the story.
The graphics look fantastic, the music is great, voice acting equally superb, and the story is very good.
The DLC character Tallis is a highlight, thanks in part to strong voice acting, but her writing raises lore questions.
