Multiplayer
Players who bring up Multiplayer mostly praise it.
The only reason you should buy this version of the game is for the multiplayer, which still works and is still active.

Story and characters
Players who bring up Story and characters mostly praise it.
If you want to play through the Mass Effect story, go with the Legendary Edition instead of this version.

Gameplay
Players who bring up Gameplay mostly praise it.
I do actually kind of like the Half-Life-esque approach to some dialogue, where not every conversation needs to be a cutscene-like setup, but just players freely walking around, interacting & talking there seamlessly within the gameplay, I think it gives needed range within interactions so that some can be more obvious casual "exhaust their dialogue options & come back later" to "you are now given choices & interrupts to define your character"-- Plus, finally, squad mates actually move around & don't just sit in their designated spots from start to finish of the entire game, interacting with each other on occasion, even romancing each other which feels fitting for them.

Co-op
Players who bring up Co-op mostly praise it.
CO-OP survival an amazing inclusion, It also determines the Success rate of the final battle, The more wins you get the higher the galaxy success rate. characters that are leveled up online can be sent to the front lines (very interesting and unique mechanic).

Graphics
Players who bring up Graphics mostly praise it.
The graphics and overall design are outdated, sure, but I still think they hold up well.

Controls
Players who bring up Controls mostly praise it.
This is more a PSA on how to get Controller Support working in Multiplayer...which is the only reason to buy this version of the game...
