Knock on the Coffin Lid

This was a great example of taking a fairly basic element from another genre (read: RPGs) to add interest to the gameplay in this one.

Everything on the visual and worldbuilding side: art, narration, music and story are wonderfully done.

Visually, also stands up to most games in the deckbuilder genre, with some nice character design and environments.

They have a lot of great visuals, gameplay concepts and world-building, but they simply tried to do too much and brought it over the finish line without some much needed polish.

Slay the spire but with Throne breaker rpg choices and consequences and an interesting gear system. the learning curve is very steep, even at easy difficulty be prepared to DIE, A LOT. 3 different characters with their own playstyle and each has 5 different classes with again different playstyle, the game has deep and overwhelming mechanics, especially Bjorn that took a while for me to learn.

While its card combat immediately appeals to fans of strategic roguelikes, the game's greatest strength lies in how every battle and decision contributes to a larger, evolving story where actions carry lasting consequences.
