What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
It has good tension, fine enough story, and is overall pretty good.
The visuals are deliberately low-resolution, evoking the grainy textures of late 1990s PlayStation games, complete with a VHS filter that gives everything a nostalgic but unnerving tone.
Sound design is great, but a little simple - engine sounds start and cut a bit too abruptly, and the elevator music in the convenience store is not particularly memorable, although it does serve its purpose.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 4 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
