This one is a little bit of both, as instead of just selecting puzzles from a list, you're taking control of Score Studios' mascot Score-chan as she adventures across her oddly ecologically diverse city to save it from a pixelation crisis, reconstructing items like bridges and a chainsaw via Nonograms in order to thwart her robotic doppelganger Under_Score and make progress towards the evil mastermind behind it all...with a surprisingly sweet ending afterwards!
Puzzle difficulty ramps up steadily, beginning with small, accessible grids and gradually introducing larger and more intricate challenges that demand careful deduction and patience.
Visually, the game leans into a charming pixel-art style that complements its logic-puzzle roots.
The only issues are that I found the puzzle controls a little finicky, and for some reason, despite relatively simple pixelated graphics and gameplay, this made my computer get hot and really crank up the fan but lacks any settings that could improve this.
Audio design supports a relaxed atmosphere, with gentle background music that encourages focus, though extended sessions may reveal some repetition in the soundtrack.
Solving a nonogram doesn’t just clear a challenge from a menu—it restores bridges, buildings, and landscapes within the world itself.
