Pentiment

The game might have bugs, and the dialog scenes can be lengthy and not everyone's cup of tea, a big chunk of what you do in game has no real purpose but it is a nice part of the story gameplay.

Because of the lack of time to do everything, and the many important (and INCREDIBLY impactful) choices you need to make, plus many interesting background choices that allow you to build your own version of the protagonist and heavily influence each playthrough allows for some of the best replayability I've seen in a story game, especially a mystery story.

A beautiful art style, combined with one of my favorite sorts of settings, as well as interesting characters and an incredibly gripping story.

The music and the sound effects blend wonderfully in the background, and the game knows how to use it to fully immerse you in its world, either in favor of the mystery or the emotional beats.

I did actually really enjoy switching to Magdalene as a playable character, and having a decision you made in Act II affect part of her character traits was very clever.
