The Wonderful 101: Remastered

It's a game that has like 5 different types of progression system to try and not overwhelm you and a game that references seemingly every sci fi B TV show and movie ever made in Japan and some outside of it (like possibly UFO for Alice?) and it somehow all works, giving a lot of ways for you to master it, while being immensely satisfying.

Combat itself is a joy ride that only gets better the more you learn about it.

It's not a disappointing story by any stretch, and the absurd consistency with which the stakes and power levels of events rise by the end will entertain you the entire way, but don't go in expecting moving character moments or thrilling twists.

On a Normal difficulty playthrough, these sections are novel sequences that add flavor to the proceedings.

Despite the simple and cartoon nature of the visuals, the game is packed end to end with nothing but pleasing colors, massive scale, inspired designs, and constantly entertaining spectacle.

The music, sound, and voice acting is equally as excellent and the attention to detail throughout at the game is nothing short of inspirational.
