Each world somewhat resets the difficulty at the start before increasing it gradually, which achieves a great balance of challenge and the feeling of achievement.
Besides the common picross/nonogram gameplay you can also use the various things you unlock by completing the grids to decorate a decent sized garden space, which gives you an additional incentive to unlock everything and is a fun creative activity!
There are many lovely little details in the dogs and items you can unlock as well as the achievements and even the menu, which holds some surprises for completionists.
The soundtrack is upbeat and cozy, perfect for this type of game.
But there's no sort of puzzle element, or rpg element, or cute little story progression with cute doggy characters, or sim element, all stuff I think could have made the dog stuff more nicely substantial.
