FINAL FANTASY

While its story and mechanics are simple compared to later entries in the series, the streamlined leveling, cleaner UI, and reduced grind help the adventure feel smooth and enjoyable without losing the charm of the original.

The storyline is all around generic but with nice worldbuilding and being enjoyable, the end of the game also has a nice twist to the story.

I haven't played the DQ remakes much but it seems that their auto-system is a bit smarter, with different combat approaches to choose from.

FINAL FANTASY (Pixel Remaster) is a faithful modernization of the original 1987 classic, offering crisp updated visuals, a beautifully rearranged soundtrack, and several quality-of-life improvements that make the game far more accessible than past releases.

The remastered soundtrack is wonderful, but you very well may be better off listening to it while playing the PSP version of the game instead which featrures more charming and detaliled graphics, additional end-game content, and a slightly higher difficulty from my understanding.

It gives you a very Pick your own adventure feel to it right from the character select screen.
