What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
There are downsides to the game to be sure- poor story pacing, cliffhanger ending, and the aforementioned save issues- but they do not totally detract from the main gameplay loop and joy of discovering new weapons and items with each new play through of the levels.
The good news is theres a lot of bosses, art style is decent, and theres a lot of weapons and abilities.
Also, really do try to play it on a controller.
Works perfectly out of the box on Steam Deck at 60fps.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
