What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
It also ties this era to Lovecraftian elements, the occult and stirring tide of WWII in the not-so-far future (albeit under House Strum instead of Hitler) pretty seamlessly, and the lore you find during missions, through cutscenes, conversations between both NPCs and playable characters, certain items and agent infoboards was well-written and captivating.
The Lamplighters League is a stellar game - both naratively and gameplay wise, but what keeps it from being truly evergreen is bad performance and some DEI stuff - more on that later.
The 3D engine graphics and cutscenes are good, especially in 4K with ultra graphics if you can run them.
The voice acting is also excellent, both the lines which are consistent with the personality and profession the characters have but also the accents where you can easily spot where the characters come from even without checking the name and their appearance.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
