What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The story is entertaining, though at times I had no idea why it progressed the way it did.
Gameplay mechanics feel fresh.
TL;DR: Great graphics and lovely music.
The visually appealing graphics feel like a console game from the 80s or 90s, as do the calming music and sound effects.
I was in the mood for some chill Controller Grabbing Sidescrolling Games and I played MO: Astray.
I'm glad to say thus far (5.2 hours in) it has been great fun on the Steam Deck. (runs naitive linux to boot!)
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No themes split opinion in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
