it has super nice gameplay when you like arcade space battle games. it has a nice visual style, you might find yourself just looking at your surroundings for a few minutes every time you enter a new sector. ship and ability upgrades are meaningful and not locked behind a stupid long grind, (later) weapons are extremely fun to use and pack a punch. it has a rock paper scissor system that makes you use all weapons (somewhat like doom eternal) and even on higher difficulties normal enemies are no notorious bullet sponges when you use the correct weapons. controls very nicely with mouse and keyboard, but you might want to play around with the aiming and control settings for the mouse. the game runs super smooth (5700XT is enough to run that game at WQHD max settings @170 fps) and on my first playthrough with the release version i only had one soundloop bug that required me to restart the game, otherwise i had no glitches, bugs or crashes whatsoever. bravo.

the sound design and music is great. boss fights are super fun, but also alot more challenging that you might think. this is god of war (without quicktime events) and doom eternal plus spaceships. this game makes you work for defeating a boss. dont feel bad for retrying the fight a few times.

[Steam Deck: I would only recommend it on Steam Deck if you plan on playing on low settings (which means it looks like butter).
