There's an incredible attention to detail with the timeline and underlying story of the company that made these games as well, which can be seen with the quality and style of the games, as well as other details like the company logo when the games start up and characters appearing in multiple games even if they aren't direct sequels.
legitimately a solid collection of games. some of the versus games are absolutely *packed* with replayability bc the mechanics are sooo fun and good!
(sidenote, this is one of the only games on Steam that has disabled my controller input while playing the game, so if you’re on a Steam Deck, beware)
Good music, good character design, good art.

(I played for about 15 hours total, the eight on record and about 7 more with friends playing multiplayer)

Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
