Personally, I think the game's lore fluffy story sometimes doesn't always take advantage of the setting, DoW2 vibes to the looks of the deserts even so, but the maps where the lighting gets dialled down and the imperial buildings and ruins stand out are the ones which left the best impression on me.

Not to be left out is the compelling narrative and well-developed protagonist that immediately draws the player in.

The mechanics and unit types tend to encourage you to play aggressively but if you want to hunker down and corner camp with overwatch then that too is occasionally a viable option.

The models could have walked off a tabletop game, the voice acting walks the line between bombast and knowing humour very well, and the whole visual and audio package comes together to showcase the Blood Angels, Nids, and the few Sisters of Battle models.

There are ample difficulty settings to shift things from a roflstomp across the maps to attritional battles depending on your own preference.

I love the grace of the three Sisters units in the SP campaign as they contrast with the size of the Bangles, I'm jonesing for the full roster after playing with them.
