There are some boss characters you ́ll easily defeat or, better said, convince of your talent by "just" replaying simply kept sequences of sound.
It didn't really detract from my experience, I was more enamored with the visuals and music going on than looking for challenging rhythm game gameplay, but again, if that is what you expect going in, I totally understand how you might be frustrated.

My only wish is that the game were Steam Deck verified, but other than that, it’s an amazing experience.
