A better perform optimization fix for the game should be the next step for the Para team and i'm pretty sure they're working on that.

granted, paralives is a $40 game and has a lot less compared to the 100+ sims 4 DLCs that cost over $1000 to have better gameplay, clothes, actions, dialogue, etc, but thats also including the game lagging, crashing, deleting save files, action cancelling, and bugs galore. the sims 4 has been out for YEARS and has had bug fix after bug fix that do not fix the core issues. most of the features they sell should be base game, end of story. and we can see that for paralives, they value that. while yes, for a game that is early access, costs $40 (which is the same price as one sims 4 expansion pack), has bugs, will lag, and has less features, it can be a bit lackluster in comparison to the sims 4.
