Finished the campaign at 39 hours playtime, lots of exploration between missions to fill out the Galaxy Map.
If you put aside the somewhat dated graphics and the sometimes uninspired design of ships and cockpits, you have a game that's already extremely rich and deep, where every step forward is a step toward the unknown and wonder.
There may be a large roster of ships to choose from in underspace however the only thing that really changes between them is stats. for example you will see 3 ships in the shop, one is a light fighter, one is a medium fighter one is a heavy fighter, All of them look identical, sure the hardpoints and the name and stats change and to be honest while i've seen a lot of "different" ships in the game there is only at a guess double digits at best of actual models which again leaves progression feeling quiet flat.
I loved it and will continue to play in the leadup to the Multiplayer/Freeplay release.
The ship handling does take some getting used to and might be better with a controller.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
