What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The story itself is actually very good and engaging, but the technical issues completely ruin the experience.
Rockstar's detective noire game, if you enjoy Rockstar's specific brand of story progression and character writing, this game is great.
There's also some excellent set pieces and shocking visuals, but I won't comment due to spoilers.
Voice acting is superb and the facial animations yeah, they look dated today, but they were groundbreaking at the time and they still give the game a ton of depth.
It works great on the Steam Deck and you can tweak it to unlock the framerate.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
