That said, it does add many nice QoL features, balances hero skills better and avoids many of the mistakes that led to the original game's downfall after it's Eternia Shards DLC (namely the introduction of the overpowered Goblin Copter, paid DLC characters that were mandatory for further progression, and all map builds becoming exactly the same once you pass a certain point).

The game supports both online and local co-op, which broadens its appeal and makes it a great choice for group play.

the game's visuals are a very nice improvement from DD1 and there are many QOL features that are an amazing help. these range from pathway lasers from doors, better range indicators, and a clearer stat point GUI/weapon upgrade GUI, to the better layed out gear tier system, and better leveling rate.

Each hero class offers unique abilities and a distinct playstyle, from ranged attackers who lay down turrets to melee fighters who leap into the fray.

The developers thought it was a great idea to make equipment have specific roles (i.e. armor has tower stats, while weapons, pets, etc. only have hero stats).
