Logical adventure puzzle design, lovely theme, atmosphere and story.
The graphics, sounds, and general aesthetics are a perfect time travel machine for Colonel's Bequest, which brings back good memories of childhood.
Most impressive however is how the puzzles are logical, interesting, on-theme (excellent adaptation of the geological theme into gameplay), and integrated into the story.
And if you’re truly stuck, there’s an official hintbook accessible via the help menu.
It still blows my mind that it is not only done by a solo developer (with only additional help for the sound track), but that it's also Julia Minamata's first game.
