On top of all that, the game has a replayability factor that a lot of other mystery games tend to not have because you can progress without seeing everything, and I'm planning to revisit the lodge to round out the mystery!

The graphics, sounds, and general aesthetics are a perfect time travel machine for Colonel's Bequest, which brings back good memories of childhood.

Additionally, the "novelty" of the text parser interface makes it interesting to solve even the easier puzzles since you really need to know what you want to do and can't just randomly combine objects.

This game easily lets you do what you need to do without much difficulty.

I also took note (pun intended) of the Roland MT-32 soundtrack - a hallmark of the SCI Sierra games , where Sierra was pushing the envelope of what games were capable of in terms of sound & music.
