Gears 5

Many of the quality of life improvements and shakeups to the general Gears of War formula are welcome.

Now to the multiplayer part it has the best goodies minus the sawed-off that was by far the best way to stand still and kill that sweaty wallbouncer that thinks the gnasher is the only weapon in the game, it's still broken if you are wondering and due to the nature of the arenas it was bound to be since the first game came out.

Melee combat feels slightly improved, there are new weapons to play with, and JACK becomes an active companion with upgradeable abilities that can significantly shift combat dynamics.

Played through the campaign in 3 player co-op, and there was not a single point in the entire 11.5 hour time when we didn't have something to complain about.

The lighting, texture quality are excellent, utilizing Unreal Engine properly for graphics and peformance.

Special mention to the spectacular OST by Ramin Djawadi, I seldom skip a track when it comes on, and the sound fits the vibe of the game so well - equal parts dark and moody, but determined and adventurous.
