Easily one of the best RPGs and straight up one of the best games I have played in my life, this game delivers with story, characters, combat, exploration, puzzles, difficulty, audio and visuals.

I'm not going to list every single gameplay mechanic that sets it apart from the OG paper mario games, but suffice to say it feels different enough to not feel like a clone.

The turn-based combat is fun but a bit grindy for my taste, and not too difficult unless you enable hard mode - then it's challenging and verging on brutal head-bashing-into-wall difficulty (see bounty bosses).
