Once you understand the mechanics of what certain items do, how NPCs react, and where and when enemies may spawn, the game feels less unfair and more about pushing yourself to explore a level than beating a hasty retreat.

The visual presentation embraces a retro-inspired pixel art style that fits the game's themes perfectly.

There are so many items, active and passive, different special levels, NPCs, game modes, playable characters/clans, along with daily and weekly challenges that you can expect to play this game repeatedly and for a long time and for it to still feel very refreshing.

All of this put together, multiplied by the many ways to play the game, the difficulty modes, level selector, etc. etc. makes it a fantastic co-op experience that can be enjoyed by people with a wide skill gap between them.

I freaking LOVE the world building, story concept and artstyle of this game.

Combat is straightforward but effective, focusing on movement, timing, and survival rather than complex combos.
