Wrapping up Bastion to me was a slog, the art is great, the story is okay, the soundtrack and narration are awesome but all this cannot save the awful gameplay.

That adrenaline ride becomes even more intense when you try to play with idols activated (modifiers that dramatically affect the game's difficulty, offer more rewards, present a fair bit of challenge and constitute the best part of the game's replayability) - that and the multiple endings for the story.
