Lair of the Clockwork God

Visually, the game embraces clean, expressive pixel art that supports both gameplay styles effectively.

The narrative premise is as absurd as it is clever, revolving around a looming, multi-layered apocalypse orchestrated by a literal ancient machine that must be taught what it means to be human.

Like many other reviewers here I'm not a big platforming fan or adventure fan but I still enjoyed it and the difficulty level was fine.

The point-and-click elements similarly avoid frustration by keeping inventory management streamlined and logic intuitive, even when the solutions are playful or unexpected.

Plays best with a controller, it took me a bit to get used to the pnc controls, but they work fine.

I think the story was interesting, and the puzzles are fairly balanced and often inventive, graphics and music nice.
