STAR WARS™ Battlefront (Classic, 2004)

In short, Battlefront 1 was special because it offered a mixture of classic shooter gameplay, strategic elements and the epic Star Wars atmosphere - all in a huge, action-packed multiplayer setting.

It's really a shame there aren't more games with this perfectly refined gameplay; intricate enough to be infinitely interesting and different every time, yet also simplified to the point where anyone can jump in and never feel out of place amongst your computer-controlled teammates that you'll fight and die alongside.

it is a lot of fun to have so much singleplayer content to get to play and keep engaged. it ahs a fun variety of classes with each class having it's own unique weapons and all working together really well. also being able to swap to another class if you think that will be needed to win the fight.

Particle effects, atmospheric lighting, and screen-accurate models add to the intensity without overwhelming the engine.

Without trying to be something it's not, this clever narrative structure enhances immersion.

And the classes per team are more unique, sometimes to your benefit and sometimes not.
