Starstruck: Hands of Time

The story starts off very sweet and nostalgic (the charming demo is why I had to buy it) but the last half of the game abandons its characters in favor of the deep, profound message. it's like a frustrated artist wrote the back half of the game with its pontifications on creativity (I got the point with Break The Mold in the demo. It's not about you, it's about Edwin and Dawn!).

You also shift up and down the guitar neck, which is a unique mechanic here.

Talking about the visuals I think is almost pointless: That's how obviously charming they're to me.

The charts seem natural to play -- I've been playing on Medium difficulty and it's been a smooth experience so far, for someone who doesn't play too many rhythm games.

The rhythm segments are particularly notable for their engaging musical sequences, where players play guitar and dodge attacks to an original soundtrack composed by Andrew Allanson.
