The controls are decent, the graphics are nostalgic (at least to me) and the gameplay was engaging enough to keep me interested throughout.

This is not a completely remastered game, the graphics are exactly what you would expect out of a PS2 game and they are fantastic in creating that nostalgic feel with their bright colours and vibrant unique worlds.

Speaking of combat, if you hold down the right bumper button on your gamepad (which I highly recommend if you are playing this game on PC), Kao will strafe from side-to-side, and when you press the north/throw button, you can throw boomerangs at not just normal enemies, but also ones who shoot projectiles.
