Sure it has some rough edges here and there, but all key aspects are sufficiently good (very nice soundtrack, very responsive control, varied enough weapons and perks to allow different good builds...), and I am a sucker for this kind of visual style, and that's the other top feature: the readability, even in a Steam Deck's screen, is excellent.

However, this game captivated me from the beginning with its simple-but-stunning graphics, easy to learn and hard to master gameplay and phenomenal audio score.

It looks great, the soundtrack is not quite memorable but is strangely fitting, sounds a bit like if Megaman was composed by Tim Burton, and the controls are really responsive.

The flashlight weapons are varied and fun to play around with. only gripe is last boss bombs sometimes spawn on top of you.
