Proto Corgi has a very beautiful pixel art look that will please Kirby fans, the gameplay reminds me of Gradius and R-Type (or more specifically Parodius), a horizontal shmup with walls and obstacles in continiuos stages.
An opening cutscene with a theme song just like the good old times, actually really good Japanese voice acting for characters that talk, JoJo references, badass soundtrack, loads of nods to other games and media, and small details that weren't really necessary but the devs added them anyway (the background displays in level 4 actually being animated, the titular corgi headbanging to the rhythm of the music in sound test, etc.).
