🌟 There's cheap DLC and unlockable modes available after obtaining the true ending.
I found switching between both sides made for a really engaging gameplay loop.
Comparing the visuals is hardly fair with how much technology has advanced over the years, but I like that BMZ still has a semblance of the original's aesthetic, while being willing to make improvements.
In general, the soundtrack has music with great melodies that easily get stuck into my head.
Also, the game features partial controller support but it works perfectly.
It captures all the fun of the original, yet brings Metroidvania updates (ie, map, better menu screens, etc.) and ties it together with nostagic rehashes of original bosses, and new bosses to defeat and new weapon/skills to collect.
