Overall, the graphics aren’t inherently bad, quite the opposite, many aspects look impressive even, but the quality is wildly inconsistent.

The team also seemed to be very self aware and that gives them a lot more areas to work with (from the character design type, jokes to pointing at the framing of the game type of jokes.). (and again from what I read a lot of the criticism is generic and doesn't point to anything in particular)
