Eldervale

The atmosphere is great, the creature design is neat, the story is as classic as it is cliché, which is perfect for horror.

Small QoL mechanic I like is that locked doors have their locks slightly highlighted in a color of the key they require.

Finally, the game looks great with a particular art style and it's all done by one person!

The variable difficulty of puzzles is a neat idea you don't really see a lot of, and the tokens / treat machines were also groovy (I like the idea of being able to buy precisely what I need when I come across a machine, but it was balanced enough that despite giving me that agency it didn't ruin the difficulty curve).

Eldervales atmosphere is absolutely filthy and uncomfortable from the moment you get through the front door of the institution and the sound design captures it with these very Moog like bass sounds that are drifting to a lower tone and everything has a feeling of weighing down on you like someone or something bad is always watching you.
