I'm not sure on the run variety just yet, but it seems like it'll be good the more experience I have with it, and the core gameplay is just so good that I don't know if I care?

Also, I think like 90% of the game can be experienced in co-op?

There's a huge joy in figuring out strategy and counterplay on the fly, especially as the difficulty ramps up in later levels.

The story (for reasons I'm not going to spoil!! play it yourself :p) is epic and engaging, even if told through an unconventional format given the type of game this is.

The character animations and designs are no slouch either - they're like the perfect blend of X and the Zero series, and it even has a great continuity nod to the art style change that even Zero 3 didn't do with Omega.

Each level shows an incredible amount of variety, and just like the old MmX games, there is a very strong mixture of platforming and combat that makes you feel kind of god-like when you can react to everything that gets thrown at you.
