I would also like to say, ALL of my playtime has been on my steamdeck so I didn't have to install any patches or anything to get the game working.
Id recommend playing on Easy difficulty, The game can get on your nerves at higher difficulty,Didn't have any trouble with crashes or low frames but i am on linux if that helps.
