ITR has probably the best weapon physics, handling, and realism of any other VR game, especially with this much depth to the core gameplay loop.
Still, there is actually a decent variety of weapons, and they work realistically: bolts, magazines, feeding rounds, and so on.
With how it all works and the scavenging it’s easy to spend over an hour on short mission, making it paced well, so you are not just rushing through the story – and the scavenging is going to be needed, so expect to be plunging 20+ hours into the game easily.
While complex shooting mechanics and inventory management can be daunting at first, you quickly get used to them and they remain engaging for the duration of the whole game.
Lighting and the day/night system are also excellent and sometimes create incredible situations.
However, I highly recommend trying this on the default difficulty setting to test your mettle.
