The puzzles are fun and decently challenging, there's some plot, there's a wide variety of locations - theme this time round is elemental magic and there's a scientific lab as well.
Hand-drawn backgrounds are richly illustrated, with lighting and color used to establish mood and emphasize points of interest.
Gameplay adheres to classic point-and-click adventure structure, blending hidden-object scenes with inventory-based problem solving and standalone logic puzzles.
Puzzles have a balanced difficulty, there are many nice hidden-object scenes, and the point-and-click adventuring can give you quite a challenge, especially in the bonus adventure.
The soundtrack and ambient audio complement the visuals, reinforcing tension during investigative moments and providing a calm backdrop during slower exploration.
