The Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-earth

It balances story telling with revealing the game map and managing enemies in an engaging way such that it doesn't feel intrusive but an integral part of the experience all the same.

I would suggest taking this same, iterative approach as there is initially a lot to this game, but once you have the concepts and mechanics down, they're very easy to remember and accomplish.

The app is brilliant from an efficiency perspective, but it does draw your eye away fro all the components on the table much of the time, the game itself is a lot of fun, a moderately simple coop board games set in the Tolkien universe, with a a quality campaign with some replay value, especially amongst new players.

Apart from that, the app does what it does, the interface is quite intuitive and you have a good understanding of what you have to do and what point of interest you have.

It's also really cool that you can upgrade your characters cards and weapons/ armour as you progress through the story.
